1: Introduction to Quilting Machine

Quilting machine is a textile machine used for sewing linear patterns on the surface of mattresses, bedspreads, quilts, etc. Quilting machines used for quilt sewing and forming can be divided into two types based on the number of stitches and the quality of the sewing pattern: straight sewing machines and computerized sewing machines.

The straight quilting machine usually has three types: 7-needle, 9-needle, and 11-needle. This type of quilting machine can only sew straight lines;

The computerized quilting machine is designed with a single needle and uses a computer visualization interface to control machine movement to achieve pattern sewing.

We mainly introduce computer quilting machines.

2: Principles of Quilting Machine

The quilting machine is a system with XY-Z motion. The XY axis controls the movement of the machine head, while the Z axis controls the sewing of the machine head.

(1) Z-axis movement - the movement of the quilting needle up and down. (Two servos)

(2) X-axis movement - the head of the sewing machine moves left and right. (One servo)

(3) Y-axis movement - the forward and backward movement of the head of the quilting machine. (One servo)

The Z-axis requires two servos to cooperate and complete, servo Z1: controls the up and down movement of the sewing needle. Servo Z2: Control the shuttle and follow the needle in real-time. This servo fully automatically follows without the need for computer system control. So the computer is a three-axis system, but it controls four servos.

The main process of the Z-axis is to ensure that the needle can always be inserted into the shuttle hole at a speed of 500-2800 stitches/minute.

3: Introduction to Z-axis process

We mainly provide servo systems, and the process of Z1 and Z2 axes is as follows

1: Power on: First, 'needle' Z1 will automatically return to the origin and stop at the high position.

2: After receiving the needle returning to the original point, the Z2 'shuttle' automatically returns to the original point and moves to the following starting position.

3: Start following.

The functions and performance advantages of our servo Z1 and Z2

1: Z1 and Z2 have automatic homing function

2: Z1 'needle' can output high-order signals by calculating the angle range

3: Z2 has following function

4: Performance requirements: There should be no cumulative error in the tracking, and the real-time tracking performance is good, ensuring 2800 stitches/min. Do not hit the needle inside.
